What is Bluesign®?? Why do you manufacture in Asia? – Have you ever wanted to ask a question like this about the company at some point and you found you didn't know where to find the answer? This is often the case with ethical, social or ecological questions.
As part of the Salewa group, Wild Country is part of a company that takes it's Corporate and Social Responsibility seriously and as part of that the second sustainability report from the SALEWA Group is ready. This is designed to give answers to exactly these sorts of questions.
This is the second such report, with the first one issued in 2011. In an ongoing development process, these reports will appear every two years. The report gives information on general corporate responsibility, particularly in the areas of "social, economy and ecology" and also reports on our current efforts, what we have achieved, and our goals as regards sustainability.
So that this will be transparent and can be verified by all, we have created our own CSR website which unites all brands of the SALEWA group in one platform. The website hosts the CSR report alongside all new and projected developments.
In general the sustainability report presents the individual elements and long-term solution approaches which the company is undertaking or planning for the future. It begins with a look at the corporate structure and company philosophy. Sustainability, which can be divided into five distinct factors, has deep roots in the company philosophy. These factors listed individually are: suppliers, product responsibility, business/corporate engagement, and environmental management.
