Jairo and his friends have been on the scene in Asturias for 15 years and throughout that time Jairo has made steady progress to be one of the best all round Asturian climbers with ascents of up to 8b+ on sports routes as well as 8A boulders too. As well as performing outdoors Jairo competes regularly across Spain in lead and bouldering competitions.

Bouldering
The boulder problems that mean the most to him are: La puerta 7a El escorial-Madrid, Salto al vacio 7b+ El escorial-Madrid, Dragon Rojo 7C, Cabo negro-Asturias (1ª rep), Porreros y Melenudos pa Siberia 8a, Teverga-Asturias (1ª rep)

Competitions

2nd in 2.009 y 2.011 in lead climbing in Asturias(Asturian Climbing Federation) + 2nd in 2.010 in bouldering as well.
